Detailed Itinerary
You will be picked from Entebbe International Airport and transfer to Entebbe Town where you will visit the Uganda wildlife educations center and get a summery no the wildlife you will spot apart from the rare golden monkeys and the endangered mountain gorillas. Wild animals are put in captive and among others are the lions, elephants, buffalos, crocodiles, Chimpanzees, giraffes, zebras, and Rhinos. You will after head to Kampala for a night.
Have a leisure breakfast at the balcony of your hotel room in Kampala and after transfer to Lake Mburo national park. This is the nearest national park to the capital city of Kampala and again the smallest savannahs park in the pearl of Africa. You will have a normal drive and a stopover at the Uganda equator in Kayabwe. You will have a magical experience that will show you the North and South poles, you will have snacks and buy some souvenirs as photography takes place. You will proceed and enter the park for lunch followed by a 2 to 3 hours boat cruise on Lake Mburo where you will spot animals like crocodiles and hippos. Check in the accommodation either inside or outside the park.
Take a morning game drive that will last for 2 hours of adventure in the park and you will spot wildlife such as impala, zebras, warthogs, buffalos, leopards, topis, elands, Bush bucks and many more others. You will after embark on a journey to Mgahinga gorilla national park which is a home to the rare golden monkeys and mountain gorillas hence called “where silver meets gold”. The journey is amazing as you pass through the Kisoro valleys. Arrive in the evening and head to the lodge booked.
Today, the main activity will be golden monkey trekking which will begin with breakfast followed by briefing at the park offices. The guide Ranger will take you into the forest to search for the rare golden monkeys, you will have a great time while in the forest spotting different animals, bird species and plants. You will find the golden monkeys in the bamboo trees hence bamboo forest as they play. The Ranger guide will advise you to use flash light cameras as they enjoy the light hence coming closer. An hour will be allocated to you while in the presence of these Primates although the overall experience can take 4 hours. You head back to the lodge for your lunch which will be followed by a drive to Bwindi impenetrable forest national Park another amazing national park where you will visit the mountain gorillas during the next day gorilla trekking experience.
Like the previous day, you will be served with breakfast in the morning and then drive to the park offices for briefing about the mountain gorillas, forest and its inhabitants, gorilla trekking rules and regulations and much more. You will after head to the forest to start the search of the endangered mountain gorillas. A family of gorillas will be found and while here, you will spend an hour in their presence. After the experience, you will head to the lodge for lunch and Batwa community tour will follow. This experience will introduce you into a local community and you will be entertained through cultural dances, you can support the locals by purchasing some handmade crafts.
Head to Queen Elizabeth national park passing via Ishasha sector where you will have a great experience of trekking the rare tree climbing lions. These lions can only be found I two places in the wild which is here in Queen Elizabeth national park and Lake Manyara national park of Tanzania.
There will be no other activity which will be done apart from this on this day. You will after head to the lodge in the park and start watching over the different animals like the elephants, buffalos and many more others.Take a Morning game drive followed with an afternoon boat cruise on Kazinga Channel and each experience will last for 2 hours. There is a lot to explore while on this day such as the beautiful scenery, wildlife such as topis, Uganda jobs, zebras, elephants, lions, buffalos, warthogs, spotted hyenas, hippos, crocodiles and many more.
Head to Kibale Forest National Park in the morning as you will be passing through the craters of Ndali Kasenda after you will visit Isunga cultural community Association where you will you will take optional activities like coffee and tea tour experience, cold springs tour, community tour and many more. Kibale is a capital primate of the world where Chimpanzees are trekked hence giving great experience.
Like any other park activity, you will attend briefing where the rules and regulations to follow while in the forest. Don’t feed wild animals, don’t throw rubbish in the park, always keep a distance and many others will be the guidelines to follow. You will spend an hour while following the Chimpanzees and after head back to the lodge. All you need to know is that, you will sot other wildlife such as the birds, trees, monkeys and many more. After lunch, you will receive entertainment from Isunga cultural community Association which will be comprised of the Batooro and Bakiga dances.
Take a tour in the tourism city today which will begin by a drive to Semuliki national park. The road trip will reward you with a view of the Rwenzori Mountain ranges since the road passes on the slopes of the mountain ranges. You will get a view of the rift valley escapements, and on your arrival, you will enter the park to visit the Sempaya hot springs. The female and male hot springs offers an opportunity to explore the beauty after boil some food like eggs, Irish or matoke which you will enjoy. After, you head to visit Amabere Ga’Nyinamwiru caves where you get to learn about the caves formed through stalactites and stalagmites hence having a cultural story attached to them. You will end the tour by visiting the Tooro Royal Palace at Karuzika Hill. Head back to the lodge for your dinner and overnight.
This will be a road trip to the might national park and this is the largest national park in the country with a great scenery of the two vegetation types separated by the Albert Nile. This park is a home to the 4 of the big five animals and only the rhino cannot be found in the park. You will have a great of the tea plantations, banana plantations, forests and much more while on the way. Arrive in the evening and you will be able to check in the accommodation facility booked.
Like in Queen Elizabeth national Park, you will wake up early to catch up with the early raisers such as lions, leopards and much more animals like elephants, buffalos, giraffes will also be spotted. The game viewing experience will last for 2 hours and you will join the best of the boat cruise on the Nile River after your lunch cheer you will spot animals like the Nile crocodiles, hippos as some animals will be quenching their thirst like the hippos and the elephants. You will also have a view of the Uhuru falls and Murchison falls while at the base.
Have a drive to Kampala in the morning after you have visited the top of falls and you will ha a stopover at the ziwa rhino sanctuary where you get a chance to trek the rhinos in the wild. The journey will proceed with the journey after lunch to Kampala where you will spend another 2 months.
You will take a city tour where you will explore different attractions and these among others are the local Markets of Nakasero and Owino, visit the independence monument, the Kabaka’s Palace, the Gadhafi mosque, the Kabaka’s lake (manmade lake), the national museum and much more. You will have lunch at one of the local restaurants and you will test the on the local dishes.
On your last day, you can take an option of visiting Ngamba Island sanctuary or relax at the beach in Entebbe as you wait for your scheduled flight. The 15 Days Amazing Uganda Holiday will end after a drop-off at the airport.
