Wake and enjoy a city breakfast at the balcony of your hotel room. Then head to Ziwa rhino sanctuary in Nakasongola district where you will take part in trekking the rhinos. This is the only place in Uganda to find the rhino’s in the wild. Trekking lasts for about 2 hours while walking with the park guide ranger well-armed. After, have an enroute lunch and then proceed to Murchison falls national park. This park is a home to four of the big five, the mighty Murchison falls the world’s strongest waterfall with its beauty. Arrive with a pack of fruits that you will buy at one of the road side markets. Check in and have your dinner as soup prepare for the next day adventure.
Have a mining game drive in the savannahs of the park where different animals will be spotted such as the lions, elephants, leopards, buffalos, giraffes, antelopes like bush bucks, water bucks, oribis and many more. The game drive will take you to the hippo pool for a fruit breakfast as you will be enjoying the hippos in the Albert Nile. Head back to the lodge for leisure and lunch which will be followed with a boat cruise that also lasts for 2 hours. Spot the Nile crocodiles, hippos, elephants, antelopes and many bird species. There will be a great moment of having a nice view of the falls from the bottom.
Leave Murchison falls national park and head to Kibale Forest National park a unique conservation area with 13 primates and the chimpanzees becomes the most attracted creature in the park. The park covers an area of 795 square kilometers most dotted with forest with small patches of savannah and swampy areas. Have a nice time while on the journey to the park viewing amazing landscapes covered with forests, gardens, and tea plantations. Arrive and have any activity of your choice like hiking to top of the world or visit the caves of Nyinamwiru in fort portal.
Breakfast will be served which will be followed by a drive to the park offices in Kanyanchu for registration, briefing and assignment of the park ranger guide. Begin the with other trekkers and meet other primates, birds and plants while on the search. Meeting a troop will offer you a chance to spend an hour with them capturing memories. After head for lunch at the lodge with your certificate of trekking the chimpanzees. Arrive and head to the park lodge for your accommodations.
Like in Kibale forest National Park, head to the park office for briefing after breakfast where the dos and don’ts will be well stipulated such as don’t feed wild animals, all the time don’t use flash camera, keep distance from the gorillas and many more. Meet the family visited of the guerillas and spend an hour with them creating memories. After the experience, head to volcanoes national park a home of gorillas and it’s located in the Virunga Mountains.
Visit one of the gorilla family in Volcanoes national park through gorilla trekking after briefing and breakfast. This won’t be different from the previous day only that the terrain and number of family members differs. After you will have leisure at the lodge.
Head to Lake Kivu that is on the border of Rwanda and Democratic Republic of Congo giving you beautiful scenery. Take optional activity of boat cruise or hiking and this will be the end of the day.
After the last night that will be spent at one of the resort hotel, check out from the hotel and head to Kigali international Airport and this marks the end of the 10 days safari in Rwanda and Uganda.
