Take part in Mountain gorilla trekking in Bwindi national Park, golden monkey trekking in Mgahinga national Park and Chimpanzee trekking in Kyambura gorge of Queen Elizabeth national Park. You will also take part in game drives while in Queen Elizabeth National Park and you will spot the rare tree climbing lions, elephants, warthogs, buffalos, Uganda kob and many more. Also, have a stopover at the Uganda equator in Kayabwe. Lunch enroute will be served like one in Mubende Town and another one Mbarara town.
Pick up from Entebbe and immediately transfer to Mgahinga Gorilla national park on a normal drive a journey that will take about 8 hours’ drive. You will explore different landscapes and you will pass in lake Mburo national park where you will spot some antelopes, zebras and many more, have lunch in Mbarara Town. Mgahinga Gorilla National Park is the smallest national park in Uganda and one which is located in the Virunga Massif hence home to the rare Primates of the mountain gorillas and golden monkeys. Arrive and check in the lodge in the evening and this mark the end of the first day.
Head to the park in the morning for briefing and this will be after breakfast. You will take part in the rules and regulations which will be of great importance in your lifetime experience. Start the trek and you find the location of these rare Primates. You will meet them in the bamboo forest jumping as they play, witness some having short trees which are cut by the bamboo shoots in the process of jumping from one tree to another. After the experience, you will head to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park where you will take gorilla trekking experience the next day.
Head to the park offices after your breakfast where you will receive briefing led by the park Head ranger guide. Like the previous exercise, the dos and don’ts will be discovered while on this day and after you will start the search. Gorillas live in groups called families and upon locating a group trekked, you will spend an hour in their presence enjoying their different behaviors like feeding, moving, playing and many more. The overall experience can take about 2 to 4 hours depending on the location of the gorilla family trekked, and also the speed of the trekkers. After, head to Queen Elizabeth National Park as you pass via the Ishasha sector. This sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park homes the rare tree climbing lions that will be found here and Lake Manyara National Park of Tanzania in the whole world. Have a chance to spot the climbing lions resting in the tree branches. Proceed with a game drive to the lodge booked.
Head to Kyambura gorge for another experience of primate watching where you will take part in the briefing exercise. This exercise of briefing will cover you with great knowledge about this valley and the park at large, its inhabitants including chimpanzees, the rules and regulations to follow and many more. You will be guided into the forest by the park ranger and start the search, after meeting a troop, you will spend an hour while in their presence as you take memories in your lifetime. Other attractions will be the monkeys, plants, birds that will be spotted while on this chimp tracking trail. After the trek, you will head to back to the lodge with an evening game drive in the savannahs of the park.
Leave Queen Elizabeth national Park with an early morning with a game drive as you will spot different animals like the elephants, lions, buffalos, warthogs and many more. Pass through the Fort portal area and where you will see tea plantations, forests and much more. Lunch enroute will be served in Mubende Town and later on proceed to Kampala, be dropped at the airport in Entebbe and this will be the end of the safari.
