Detailed Itinerary

Day One Arrival in Entebbe and Transfer to the Hotel in Kampala/Entebbe

Be picked from the airport and transfer to the hotel in either Kampala or Entebbe and this will be just the beginning on your safari. Depending on your arrival time, you will take an optional activity like visiting the Uganda Wildlife educational center or Ngamba island sanctuary.

Day two Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park and Walk Tour

Head to Lake Mburo national park in western Uganda with a stopover at the Uganda equator where you will have a magical experience, photos, and maybe buying some souvenirs inform of handmade crafts. You will then proceed and be welcomed by animals like the impalas, zebras in the park and then after lunch, engage yourself in walk tour through the park together with the park guide. Head to the lodge where you will spend a night.

Day Three Game Drive and Transfer to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park

Wake up on a game drive where you will spot animals like the impalas, zebras, elands, warthogs and many more. The game drive will last for 3 hours and you will create memories like the sunrise moments, grazing wildlife moments and many more others. After, you will head to the Mgahinga gorilla national park where you will have to trek the golden monkeys. This is the smallest national park in the country where you will have a great time.

Day Four Golden Monkey Trekking and Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park

Take through a briefing experience where you will be told about the dos and don’ts while trekking the rare golden monkeys on this morning. You will be told to use flash light cameras since these primates enjoys the light, don’t litter the park premises, always follow the guide’s instructions while in the forest and many more. You will enter trail that is heading to the location of the monkeys and this will create memories as you will be taking photos. After the experience, you will head to Bwindi impenetrable forest national park a home of mountain gorillas. This park is amazing in a way that the forest is thick hence termed as the impenetrable forest.

Day Five Gorilla Trekking and Batwa Community Experience

Head to the park offices where you will take another great briefing exercise about the gorilla trekking. The briefing will be almost the same like that of the previous day in Mgahinga gorilla national park only that here you will be advised not to use flash light cameras. Trekking will begin immediately and this will create forest memories as you will spend almost 5 hours while in the forest including an hour while in the presence of the gorilla family visited. After lunch, you will take a tour to the Batwa community where you will be entertained through cultural music and dances and after, head to the lodge for your dinner.

Day Six Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park and Tree Climbing Lion Trekking

Head to Queen Elizabeth national park passing via Ishasha sector where you will have a great experience of trekking the rare tree climbing lions. These lions can only be found I two places in the wild which is here in Queen Elizabeth national park and Lake Manyara national park of Tanzania. There will be no other activity which will be done apart from this on this day. You will after head to the lodge in the park and start watching over the different animals like the elephants, buffalos and many more others.

Day Seven Game Drive and Boat Cruise

Take part in these two main activities in this park where you will encounter different animals as you take part in the morning game drive and afternoon launch cruise on Kazinga channel. Among others are the leopards, lions, cheetah, spotted hyenas, jackals, elephants, crocodiles, buffalos, hippos and many more others. Each activity will last for about 2 to 3 hours depending on the choice and the search made and in the evening, you will head back to the lodge which will create memories.

Day Eight Drive to Kibale Forest National Park and Community Tour in Isunga Cultural Community

Take a drive as you pass through the Ndali Kasenda craters to Kibale forest national park. This park is famous for inhabiting the 13 primates including the chimpanzees. The park covers an area of 776 square kilometers covered with tropical forest, swamps and crater lakes. Arrive and enjoy lunch at the lodge and then take a community tour where you will have a local guide from Isunga cultural community Association hence taking you through coffee plantations, crater lakes, tea plantations hence local methods of processing coffee.

Day Nine Chimpanzee Trekking and Traditional Entertainment

Head to the park offices in Kanyanchu visitors center where you will receive briefing after a cup of tea or coffee at the lodge. You will go through the dos and don’ts to follow while in the forest and after the guide drive will take you to the starting point, walk through the forest as you search for the chimpanzees. Meet a troop or group of chimps follow it’s for an hour while have a great experience and then head back to the lodge for your lunch. In the afternoon or evening, you will receive cultural entertainment for both Bakiga and Batooro groups of people from Isunga cultural community association. These people live at the edge of Kibale forest in Isunga village and this means that they have a wide knowledge about their area.

Day Ten Visit Sempaya Hot Springs in Semliki and Amabere Caves In Fortportal

Head to the park which s known as the birders haven and this is none other than Semliki national park where you will visit Sempaya hot springs that are termed as male and female. You will spot different primates while on the walk such as the olive baboons, varvet monkeys, red tailed monkeys and many more others. The journey to this park rewards your great view like that of the rift valley escarpments and after and amazing adventure in Semuliki, you will head to Fortportal tourism city where you will visit the Amabere caves where you will learn about the culture of the Bachwezi people who lived long time ago giving birth to Batooro and Baganda cultures. Head and check in the hotel booked and you will have an option of taking a night walk around Fortportal.

Day Eleven Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park and Visit the Top of Falls

Leave Fortportal in the morning and head to Murchison falls national park as you pass through the natural forests, tea plantations and rolling hills. This national park is known for its diverse wildlife and the park is separated into two parks by the Nile river hence offering two great vegetation which are the savannahs and the wood lands. This park also has a smallest point where river Nile passes hence forming the rainbow and makes the thunderous sound.

Day Twelve Game Drive and Boat Cruise

This is another moment to remember in your lifetime where you will encounter different wildlife in the wild as you take part in a morning game drive and afternoon boat cruise. Each activity will last for 2 to 3 hours and you will spot animals like the crocodiles, schools of hippos, elephants, giraffes, antelopes, warthogs and many more with birds like ibis, ground hornbills, kingfishers, fish eagle among others. Have beautiful sceneries like the one at the bottom of the falls, sunset and sunrise moments and many more others.

Day Thirteen Transfer to Kidepo Valley National Park

Leave Murchison falls in the morning and take journey that will last 394 km hence taking 6 to 7 hour’s drive. The road will be dust as you pass to the most remote area in Uganda hence Kidepo valley national park called the most isolated national park in the country. This national park is amazing where you will explore large herds of buffalos, beautiful untouched sceneries, you will also take have an evening game drive where you will spot different wildlife such as jackals, elephants, buffalos, antelopes, warthogs and many more others. You will after head to the lodge booked for your accommodation.

Day Fourteen Game Drive and Karamoja Community Tour

Take a morning game drive where you will spot different animals such as the lions, elephants, buffalos, giraffes, zebras and much more. There are birds and trees which will amuse you while in the park premises taking this 2 hour’s game drive together with the park ranger guide. You will have a break as you take lunch at the lodge while having a great scenic view. In the afternoon, you will take a community tour where you will explore the Karamojong culture and this is through traditional music and dance, community tour and again buying some of the handmade crafts to be your souvenirs. After, you will head back to the lodge for your dinner with an evening game drive.

Day Fifteen Transfer to Soroti Town

Leave Kidepo valley national park in the morning after your sunrise breakfast where you will enjoy the beauty of the sun in the savannahs. You will transfer to Soroti town where you will spend a night on this 15th day of your safari.

Day Sixteen Head to Jinja and Visit the Source of the Nile

Leave Soroti and head to jinja with a long drive which will last for about 4 to 5 hours and this will be an amazing. Reach in Jinja and be served with lunch and then take a cruise that will take you to visit the source of the Nile. This is the point where the longest river commences its journey from Lake Victoria to Mediterranean Sea. you will then head to the booked resort overlooking the Nile for your accommodation.

Day Seventeen Head Back to Kampala with Stopovers at Mabira Forest and Sezibwa Falls

Leave Jinja in the morning after your breakfast together with your packed lunch and while on the way, you will have different stopover like one in Mabira forest take a walk where you will spot different primates such as the varvet monkeys, red tailed monkeys, black and white colobus monkeys and many more others. the walk will take you to griffin falls which is another great view on this 18 days classic Uganda Holiday. Proceed and have another stopover in Mukono where you will visit the Sezibwa falls and this will give you another great experience where you will learn the part of the Baganda cultural beliefs. You will also take rock climbing experience as you interact with the traditional healers. Proceed with the journey to Kampala where you will spend a night with an optional massage experience.

Day Eighteen Drop-off at the Airport in Entebbe, Departure

On this day, the 18 days classic Uganda Holiday will end after the drop-off at the airport depending on the scheduled flight and depart home.
