Explore as you discover the low land gorillas in Kahuzi-Biega National Park of Democratic Republic Congo and the Chimpanzees of Nyungwe forest national park of Rwanda. These two national parks have diverse flora and found that you will see while on this 3 Days Congo Lowland Gorillas and Chimpanzees tour. During this safari, you will spend an hour while carrying out each activity while in the presence of the visited primate. For example, during chimpanzee trekking, you will spend an hour while in the presence of Chimpanzees. These Primates are close to humans in terms of blood sharing that goes to 98% DNA.
Detailed Itinerary
You will be picked from the airport on your arrival time and you will straight away head to Bukavu City in Democratic Republic of Congo. This journey will begin with briefing where you will be told about the dos and fonts to follow while on your safari. You will have lunch enroute at Butare as you will be verifying your passport and visa card. Proceed to Bukavu City after a 4 to 5 hours’ drive and check in the accommodation.
Head to the park offices for briefing about this activity of visiting the lowland gorillas. This exercise will create the knowledge and understanding about the gorillas and the forest at large, you will also go through the rules and regulations which you will follow while in the forest. There is a lot to spot while in the forest such as the different bird species, Primates like red tailed monkeys, varvet monkeys and monkeys. You will spend an hour while in the presence of low land gorillas and you will after head back to the hotel for lunch. You will after check out and transfer to Nyungwe forest national park in Rwanda a home to 13 Primates including the Chimpanzees.
Again, you will head to the park offices where you will receive briefing which will not be so different from the previous one. The guideline to follow will be well explained and you will after head into the forest where you will start the search of the Chimpanzees. Spot monkeys like varvet monkeys, red tailed monkeys, black and white colobus monkeys, and many more but keep eyeing on the Chimpanzees. After a great time with the chimps which will be an hour, you will head back to the park which will be followed by a transfer to Kigali Airport where you will be dropped hence end of the tour.
